Viewing blinds are up and roads and parking areas are accessible
Sharp-tailed grouse viewing blinds are up at the dancing grounds (leks) in the Namekagon Barrens Wildlife Area. DNR staff and volunteer observed the birds dancing last week, with 7 to 15 male grouse and a few females at each lek surveyed. Road travel in the Barrens may be unpredictable, but staff were able to drive to the designated parking spots last week.
