Sharp-tail viewing available in the Namekagon Barrens Wildlife Area
Here’s the news from DNR Wildlife Biologist Nancy Christel:
There are some blinds available for viewing Sunday and Tuesday this week, and it is going to be beautiful conditions! Check https://www.namekagonbarrens.org/viewing-blinds/ now and frequently. Blind availability changes constantly. Don’t miss out and fill out a survey to help monitor the birds.
Please take care to reduce bird disturbances by using North County Line and then Gomulak Fire Lane to get to the East viewing blind, and Dry Landing Rd. to get to the North and South viewing blinds. Our birds are doing so well they are dancing everywhere and so the less we drive on interior fuelbreaks, the happier the birds. This is a good problem to have!
Come enjoy!
